Brown & Beattie Ltd. is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with 7-10 years of experience in building systems who is ready to take on a high responsibility ownership, client-facing role focused on existing buildings, retrofits, and capital planning projects. If you do not currently hold a P.Eng. designation in Ontario, or are not located within commuting distance of the GTA, this role will not be the right fit. For the right person, this is an opportunity to step into a visible role managing multiple projects, working directly with clients, and growing into a senior position with increasing leadership responsibility over the next few years.What You’ll Be DoingAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for assessment of existing building mechanical systems as well as design of replacement systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, make-up air units and others. A working knowledge of building electrical systems as they pertain to mechanical systems and building mechanical equipment upgrades is a must.Duties will include drafting specifications, construction review, progress reports, and client liaison. In this role you will be handling approximately five to six projects concurrently. You will also be working directly with clients, contractors,



and internal team members, so strong communication and organization skills are important.
