Community Support Worker
Location: Vancouver / Richmond
Start Date: As soon as possible
Term/Status: Casual / On-Call
Hourly Wage: $25.95 - $29.76 plus 10.6% in lieu of perks

What You’ll Do

Contribute to a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging program environment

Work alongside team members to support participants with activities of daily living

Participate in the implementation and monitoring of individualized goal plans

Lead engaging, person‑centered programs tailored to diverse abilities

Provide services through on‑site, community, and outreach‑based activities

Requirements / Education / Experience

Degree or Diploma in an area directly related to supporting people with developmental disabilities,



such as Social Sciences, Human Services, Therapeutic Recreation, or Education

1 – 2 years of work experience with persons with disabilities

Must be able to safely support swim/water activities in community pools – includes entry into chlorinated water

Minimum availability of 2 shifts per week

Criminal record clearance

Medical clearance

Valid First Aid/CPR certification

Class 5 driver’s license and use of a vehicle for work, OR a Class 4 unrestricted driver’s license

Driver’s abstract showing a good driving record

Non‑violent crisis intervention certification

Demonstrated competency in English written and verbal communication

Basic computer literacy

Eligible to work in Canada

Requires physical strength, good balance, mobility, and endurance for recreational activities

Position involves assisting clients with personal care needs

Training is provided for client personal care and non‑violent crisis intervention certification.

This position requires union membership.
