ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter Bto join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary, AB.

The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our construction projects.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE are provided.

Responsibilities

Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies

Running drain lines, plumbing lines, and Gas lines as well as installation of all plumbing related equipment.

Installation of Boilers, hot-water tanks and furnaces.

Replace valves and actuators

Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule

Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects

Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded

Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.

Qualifications

Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is required

Class A Gas Fitter is preferred.

Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required

Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test, Fit-to-Work Test, and Extensive Background Check.

Must be able to obtain Government Security Clearance.





Robust verbal and written communication skills

Able to read drawings and blueprints

Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety

Willing to travel
