Job Description
AIM is currently looking for a non‑ferrous receiver for its AIM Recyclage Victoriaville site. Under the supervision of the site manager, the non‑ferrous receiver will be responsible for the general upkeep of the premises and for ensuring the proper functioning of production,
particularly by sorting ferrous and non‑ferrous metals. The candidate must work safely by wearing personal protective equipment and by following safety instructions.
What you'll be responsible for:
Sorting different types of non‑ferrous metals
Classifying non‑ferrous materials and determining the type of material
Weighing the material
Operating the forklift
Performing daily maintenance
Carrying out the general upkeep of the premises
Maintaining equipment and assets in positive condition
Cleaning the workstation at the end of the shift
Entering data into the RECY system
Providing prices to customers
Providing excellent customer service
Assisting with torch cutting when needed
Preparing shipments and receiving materials
Qualifications
Ability to work in a noisy and dusty environment
Knowledge of metals (an asset)
Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (mask, earplugs, helmets, gloves, etc.)
Conscientious about occupational health and safety
Good physical condition
Resourceful and responsible
Meticulous and enjoys repetitive work
Punctual and diligent
Able to work as part of a team
Experience operating a forklift (an asset)
Experience in metal recycling (an asset)
Good knowledge of metals (an asset)
Ability to work outdoors in both good and bad weather
Enjoys teamwork
