Our client, a well-established and highly respected national leader, is seeking a Director of Finance to join their executive team. Working out of the company's Edmonton office, this role will provide strategic financial leadership and oversee all aspects of the organization’s finance function. This is a key position responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring operational excellence, and supporting continued growth across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide executive-level leadership and oversight of the full finance function, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementLead and develop a high-performing finance team, with direct reports across multiple functional areasOversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements, including balance sheets, reconciliations, and monthly/annual reportingManage and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standardsEstablish and maintain solid internal controls, policies, and financial governance practicesPartner with senior leadership to support strategic planning, business expansion, and operational decision-makingAnalyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to improve profitability and efficiencyOversee and provide guidance on complex compensation, commission,



and bonus structures across the organizationEnsure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax requirements, and reporting standardsSupport mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives as requiredAct as a trusted advisor to the President and executive team on all financial mattersQualifications & ExperienceCPA designation is required; MBA is considereda strong assetMinimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership roleProven experience leading and developing finance teams within a complex, multi-department organizationStrong understanding of financial reporting, audits, compliance, and corporate financeExperience managing complex commission and incentive structures is highly desirableDemonstrated ability to operate both strategically and hands‑on in a dynamic environmentExceptional analytical skills with a high level of attention to detailStrong business acumen and the ability to influence decision-making at the executive levelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organizationBase salary up to $150,000, commensurate with experienceCompetitive performance‑based bonus programVehicle allowance#J-18808-Ljbffr
