Touchstone Institute is seeking qualified vendors to submit proposals for skilled French translation services in support of the Practice Ready Ontario (PRO) Program, advancing accessibility and equity for French‑speaking applicants and stakeholders in the French‑language delivery stream.
This project involves the translation and cultural adaptation of English‑language learning and program materials into French, with an emphasis on Canadian French, accessibility compliance, and consistency across educational and assessment content. Experience translating healthcare and education materials is strongly preferred.
This is an open opportunity, and Touchstone Institute welcomes submissions from Canadian vendors.
Scope of Work
The objective of this Scope of Work is to engage a qualified vendor for translation (English to French) and cultural adaptation of existing e‑learning modules and synchronous orientation materials.
Linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness
Preservation of instructional design and interactive elements
Compatibility with the Learning Management Service (LMS) (SCORM or equivalent)
Compliance with WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards
Document Translation
External‑facing program materials
Web content
Application forms and guidance documents
Candidate communications and templates
Assessment‑related documentation
Policy, procedural, and informational consent
Instructional materials (slide decks, guides, educational resources)
Localization and Quality Assurance
Adapt content to Canadian French standards (preferred)
Ensure terminology aligns with medical, regulatory, and assessment contexts
Maintain consistency across translated materials using a shared glossary
Conduct quality review and proofreading prior to submission
Collaborate with Touchstone Institute to establish and maintain a bilingual glossary of key PRO terms
Apply approved terminology across all deliverables
Full trans‑adaptation from English to French, ready for LMS upload
Quality assurance testing for language accuracy and accessibility
Revisions as required following Touchstone Institute review (within defined limits)
Any additional materials or scope not listed above that arise during the term of this engagement will be identified by Touchstone Institute and may be addressed through written amendment or additional authorization, subject to mutual agreement.
Timelines
All deliverables must be completed by March 1st, 2026.
Contract Term
January 31, 2026 – March 31, 2026
Commitment
This will be a consulting contract for a service vendor; there is no weekly or hourly commitment. Hours will depend on the SOW deliverables.
