Key Duties & Responsibilities
Lifeguard a diverse set of activities
Ensure effective program instruction in a fun and safe manner for participants
Assist with the delivery of special events
Ensure cleanliness of pool deck and surrounding areas
May be required to assist with administration duties as required
Follow all policies, procedures and standards of the CRD
Perform other duties as required

Key Skills & Abilities
Excellent communication (verbal and written); interpersonal and customer service skills are required
Familiar with emergency procedures and able to respond accordingly
Knowledgeable of the aquatic facilities rules and regulations
Ability to work independently with general supervision in a relatively structured environment

Certifications
Acceptable criminal record check. The applicant/incumbent is required to undergo a criminal record check to work in this position and to report to their supervisor if any criminal charges are laid against them that may be related to employment.
National Lifeguard Certificate
Standard First Aid and CPR-C
Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor
