Terms of Employment: Permanent, full time

Wage: $22 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Location of Work: Coquitlam, BC

Benefits: Accommodation and meals if so desired, and bonus.

Job Requirements

High School certificate;

1 to less than 7 months experience is preferred;

Demonstrate ability to perform the work;

Mature, reliable, caring, and versatile (be able to work on weekends);

Ability to communicate in English;

Job Duties

Supervise and care for child in employer’s residence;

Bathe, dress, and feed the child;

Plan, prepare, and serve meals for child;

May perform other light housekeeping duties;

Oversee child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer;

Arrange playdates and outings;

Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home;





Instruct child in personal hygiene;

Tend to the emotional well‑being of the child and support their social development;

Discipline the child according to the methods requested by the parents;

Provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings;

Take child to and from appointments;

Keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child;

Administer medicine with parent’s consent, if necessary.
