Summary
Works collaboratively with the medical director, registered nurse and/or respiratory therapist and is responsible for direct and indirect patient care. Coordinates inter-facility critical care transports of neonatal/pediatric patients using clinical standards and guidelines via ambulance, helicopter or fixed wing.

Minimum Qualifications

Certification & Licensure includes: STABLE (Sugar-Temperature-Airway-Blood Pressure-Lab Work-Emotional Support) within 1 year of hire.

Experience is 3000 hours working as a paramedic.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience is 2000 hours level II or III NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)



and Pediatric Experience combined.

Required Skills

Ability to drive long hours with adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (i.e., traffic, weather conditions, etc.).

Intravenous and Intraosseous insertion skills for pediatric populations, and the ability to learn neonate intravenous skills.

Cricothyrotomy skills for pediatric population.

High School or Equivalent.

Paramedic License.

BLS (Basic Life Support).

ACLS (Cardiovascular).

PALS (Pediatric).

NRP (Neonatal).

EVOC (Emergency Vehicle).
