Food & Beverage Director St. Andrew’s East Golf & Country Club Stouffville, Ontario This is not a typical hospitality role, because St. Andrew’s East is not a typical Club. We are seeking a Food & Beverage Director to lead the Club’s entire Food & Beverage operation. Why this role matters Food & Beverage is a central part of the social life and overall Member experience at St. Andrew’s East. This role is not simply about managing service or overseeing meals. It is about leading the Club’s entire Food & Beverage department in a way that reflects the standards, personality, and vision of the Club. That means this role requires someone who understands how to deliver strong hospitality, thoughtful programming, and high standards while recognizing the broader role Food & Beverage plays in Member satisfaction, Club culture, and the value of belonging.



The Food & Beverage Director will provide leadership across the full department, including front-of-house service, beverage operations, culinary collaboration, staffing, financial oversight, and the overall dining and social experience. The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Chef, departmental leaders, and Club leadership to ensure a consistent, engaging, high-quality experience for Members. This role reports to General Manager, Steve Grass, CCM, PGA . Key responsibilities The Food & Beverage Director will: Provide overall leadership and direction for the Club’s entire Food & Beverage department Oversee front-of-house service, beverage operations, dining execution, and culinary alignment Work closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to ensure a strong, cohesive partnership across the department Lead, coach, support, and develop departmental leaders and team members Hire, onboard, train, and retain strong talent across the Food & Beverage operation Establish and maintain high service, hospitality, and presentation standards throughout the department Be a highly engaged and visible leader in the operation, setting the tone for culture, accountability, and professionalism every day Oversee scheduling strategy, labour planning, inventory awareness, and overall departmental organization Support budgeting, cost control, and the overall financial performance of the department Help shape dining experiences, social programming, and the overall Food & Beverage offering of the Club Respond to Member feedback and service recovery situations with professionalism, maturity, and sound judgment Ensure the department operates in a way that is polished, welcoming, efficient, and aligned with the Club’s values and founding principles Qualifications and experience required The ideal candidate will bring: A minimum of three years of leadership experience in food and beverage, hospitality, private club, restaurant, hotel, resort, or a comparable high-touch environment Management experience leading teams in a hospitality setting Demonstrated leadership experience in hospitality,



with food and beverage leadership experience strongly preferred Culinary experience considered an asset Strong people leadership and communication skills Strong organizational ability and attention to detail Sound operational and financial instincts The ability to manage day-to-day execution without losing sight of the bigger picture A calm, thoughtful, service-oriented leadership style Comfort operating as a highly engaged, highly visible leader in a high-expectation setting A genuine interest in team culture, service quality, and continuous improvement Experience operating Food & Beverage as a Member amenity, rather than purely a profit centre, is considered a strong asset Private club experience is an asset, but not required. We welcome candidates from a range of hospitality backgrounds, including food and beverage, culinary, restaurant, hotel, resort, and other service-driven environments, provided they bring proven management experience and leadership capability.
