Join the YMCA of East Tennessee as a Lifeguard and ensure safe swimming experiences. Constantly supervise the pool and connect with members to create a welcoming workplace.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining safety around the pool, performing chemical tests, and documenting your findings. You will also engage positively with members, embodying the Y’s core values in daily interactions and activities. Your vigilance and attention to detail will help nurture a safe and fun atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee pool area and maintain safety protocols
• Build rapport with members and staff
• Conduct safety equipment checks and ensure readiness
• Document chemical testing and report hazards
• Complete required incident reports and safety training

Requirements:
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification mandatory
• Must have Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification
• Ability to perform physical tasks and remain alert
• Strong language skills for effective communication
• Open to ongoing training and additional courses
