Job Reports to: Lead Manager, Ontario Works and Client Care
Salary: $23.80 - $28.19
SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the Lead Manager, Ontario Works and Client Care, in accordance with CDSB policies and procedures and CDSB Vision & Values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION
Complete intake application by phone, in person, or online through IBAU (OWIU)
Respond to inquiries from clients and the public
Receive information from clients both on the telephone and in person
Responsible for scheduling new appointments for, and assigning cases to Case Managers
Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment
Process Northern Health Travel Grants
Complete intake for funerals and internal appeals
Provide clerical support as required
Back‑up for other Case Aides/Reception as needed
Compile statistics and reports as necessary
Prepare T5’s as requested
Other related duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability in word processing and spreadsheet software
Working knowledge of the full range of programs delivered by the CDSB including Ontario Works, Child Care, Housing
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Two‑year diploma in office administration or business administration with related experience OR a combination of education and experience acceptable to the employer
Relevant experience in social services
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Satisfactory criminal records check
Must maintain confidentiality
Bilingualism in accordance with the French Language Services policy
