Live-in Caregiver – Senior with Neuro-degenerative Condition and Physical Disabilities
NOC Job Code/Title: 44101 - Live-in Caregiver

We are seeking a reliable, experienced and compassionate caregiver to provide full time care for an elderly woman (age 86) with a neuro-degenerative condition, mobility limitations, cognitive and speech impairments.

The client is wheelchair-bound and requires assistance with all activities of daily living (ADLs) in a home setting.

Requirements

Minimum 2–5 years of senior caregiving experience

Experience supporting individuals with similar presentation:

stroke, Parkinsonism, dementia and similar conditions

moderate to severe mobility and communication challenges

Mild to moderate cognitive impairment

Ability to safely assist with lifting and transfers

Physically capable of supporting a high-dependency client

First Aid certification (asset)

References required

Job Responsibilities

Assist with safe transfers and mobility support (equipment provided)





Provide full personal care: feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, grooming

Provide dementia-informed care and supervision

Administration and management of medication

Perform light to moderate housekeeping tasks:

meal preparation & grocery pick up

cleaning and laundry

accompany client to appointments

provide companionship and social support

Compensation & Benefits

$25.00/hour (based on experience)

Paid statutory holidays

Paid vacation time

Paid weekly or twice monthly

Room and board available
