Job Description
On‑call Delivery Agent or Postal Clerk. The role may include delivering mail, packages, or handling postal operations in a temporary, on‑call basis.

Job Responsibilities
Delivery Agent:

Start day at depot, sorting and preparing deliveries.

Load and drive Canada Post vehicle.

Deliver mail and packages to customers by foot or vehicle.

Return to depot to unload incoming mail for later delivery.

Postal Clerk:

Work inside sorting facility, sort mail and packages.

Work various shifts, including evenings, nights and weekends.

Operate material handling equipment.

Receive and accept mail items.

Scan, sequence, batch mail items.

Transfer and dispatch parcels and packages.





Perform other postal clerk duties as required.

Complete reports and documentation.

Qualifications

Valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required).

Physical ability to lift mail items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.

Ability to work in all types of weather.

Availability to be on‑call, possibly evenings and weekends.

Ability to read, write and speak English and/or French.

Experience in customer service (optional).

Experience making deliveries or working as a driver (optional).

Experience working in a production setting is an asset.
