Electronics Assembly & Repair Technician
St. Catharines, ON — Specialized Electronics Manufacturing

Job Summary
Our client, a growing manufacturer within the specialized electronics sector, is seeking an Electronics Assembly & Repair Technician to support both product assembly and troubleshooting activities within their production environment. This hands‑on role will involve diagnosing and repairing complex electronic systems while also assisting with assembly and testing functions during peak production periods. The position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working with technical components, and contributing within a fast‑paced, team‑oriented manufacturing environment.

The Role

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic and electrical assemblies and components

Perform testing and fault isolation on returned or non‑functioning equipment

Interpret schematics, manuals, technical drawings, and assembly documentation to identify issues and complete repairs

Assist with mechanical and electronic product assembly during periods of lower repair activity

Collaborate with production and technical teams to resolve product or quality concerns





Maintain accurate records related to repairs, troubleshooting findings, and completed work

Support continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly quality and troubleshooting efficiency

Ensure work is completed in accordance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards

Assist with product inspections, testing, and final verification processes as required

The Ideal Candidate

Hands‑on experience in electronics assembly, troubleshooting, repair, or maintenance within a manufacturing or technical environment

Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting ability

Ability to read technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation

Technical diploma or education in electronics, electrical technology, engineering technology, or a related field is considered an asset

Comfortable using hand tools, testing equipment, and diagnostic instruments

Self‑motivated with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently while also contributing within a collaborative production team

Previous experience in low‑volume, highly customized manufacturing environments is considered an asset

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a growing organization
