Support community living for clients as a Casual Mental Health Worker in Maple Ridge. This position entails providing critical life skills assistance and community support on a flexible schedule.
As part of the Supported Housing Division, you will assist individuals with mental, developmental, and physical disabilities, helping them navigate daily challenges. The role involves case planning, advocacy, and life skills training, ensuring that clients receive the resources and support they need to thrive. Effective collaboration and strong communication will be essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in comprehensive case planning with clients
• Advocate for access to community resources
• Monitor and respond to client emergencies
• Facilitate life skills training and social interactions
• Manage client medications under established policy
Requirements:
• Degree in Behavioral Sciences or similar
• At least two years of relevant experience
• Current CPR, First Aid, and Food Protected certifications
• Class V Driver’s License may be beneficial
• Physical capability to perform job duties
