Position: Manager in Training – Store Manager, The Shoe Co.

The Shoe Co. banner is seeking an energetic and customer-focused Manager in Training who will lead the store environment toward operational excellence and inclusive customer service.

Responsibilities

Commit to ongoing development, including flexibility to travel and/or relocate provincially for training or management opportunities.

Assume a leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences.

Facilitate achievement of business results by role‑modeling a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity.

Lead an operationally sound business by balancing company policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.

Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who have a love of shoes.

Achieve company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by modeling values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/ humility.

Develop and implement agile business plans to achieve results.

Foster teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy within the store and district.

Maintain effective, open lines of communication with Senior Operational Managers.

Qualifications

Relevant post‑secondary education.





Minimum 3 years of experience in a progressive retail supervisory role.

Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets in large volume, high‑traffic retail environments.

Proven ability to motivate others.

Proficiency in computer use, including e‑mail, MS Word or other word‑processing programs, and Excel or other spreadsheet programs.

Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment while also being committed to creating a compelling customer experience.

Ability to work days, closing shifts, and weekends.

Mobile within a geographic area.

Ability to travel by air, car, train, etc., as required.
