Be part of Vancouver Coastal Health's Protection Services as a Relational Security Officer. Focus on ensuring the safety and security of individuals in the healthcare environment.

This role within Vancouver Coastal Health aims to maintain security and proactive management of aggression at healthcare sites. Ideal candidates will have experience in security, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to fostering a diversity-focused environment. Collaborating with the Relational Security Team, you'll be essential to promoting safety and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain a supportive and secure presence on-site
• Proactively manage and de-escalate aggressive situations
• Implement trauma-informed safety measures and practices




• Collaborate with a dedicated Relational Security Team
• Uphold organizational values related to inclusion and safety

Requirements:
• BC Security Guard License and OFA Level II Certification required
• Proven experience with Advanced Security Training
• Knowledge from the Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum
• Effective communicator both verbally and in writing
• Physically fit to carry out security duties

Support patients and staff by ensuring a protected healthcare environment at Vancouver Coastal Health.
