Join Vancouver Coastal Health as an Assistive Device Technician, focusing on enhancing mobility and independence for clients within Vancouver General and UBC Hospitals. This role requires technical expertise in wheelchair adaptation and maintenance.

As a vital part of the rehabilitation team in Vancouver, BC, you will set up and maintain various assistive devices while collaborating closely with Occupational Therapists. Your role includes tracking equipment inventories, performing necessary maintenance, and providing hands-on instruction to staff and families regarding the operation of these devices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Adapt and set up wheelchairs and seating systems
• Maintain and repair assistive technology as needed




• Keep detailed inventory of supplies and equipment
• Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and orders
• Instruct on proper use of assistive devices to families

Requirements:
• Grade 10 education and 4 years' applicable experience
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job
• Effective organization skills for daily tasks
• Capable of operating specialized equipment
