Position Overview

As a Café Station Volunteer supports staff by providing a tea/coffee service and brings residents out of isolation by providing a fun, friendly environment in which that can socialize and appreciate some company.

Key Responsibilities

Follow the cafe station operating schedule.
Deliver an excellent client experience to cafe station visitors.
Maintain Cafe Station during wellness program.
Treat all residents with dignity and respect.

Qualifications And Requirements

Must be at least 16 years of age. However, some roles may require a higher level of maturity or prefer adult candidates.
Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin are required. However,



certain roles may require the ability to interact with residents in their native languages.
Successful completion of the Tuberculosis (TB) screening and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
A genuine interest in helping residents with compassion, understanding, and patience.
Demonstrated dependability, initiative, flexibility, and reliability.
Willingness to attend additional training as needed.

Commitment & Locations:

Available Monday to Sunday for 3-4 hour shifts or as assigned.
A minimum commitment of 6 months is required.
The position will be at the Mon Sheong Richmond Hill Long-Term Care Centre (11199 Yonge Street, Richmond Hill, ON)

Willing to undergo a background or police records check
Minimum 16 years old
Willing to complete medical forms
Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin
Wiling to undergo a Tuberculosis (TB) test
