Vancouver Coastal Health is looking for a Radiology Billing Clerk to join the Medical Imaging Administration team at Vancouver General Hospital. Apply today to join our team!
As a Radiology Billing Clerk at Vancouver Coastal Health you will:
Act as an integral member of the Clerical Support Services Team arranging Medical Service Plan (MSP) and private accounts within the Radiology Department.
Perform the in/outpatient MSP procedural billing function for Radiologists, investigate billing discrepancies and delinquent accounts, and take corrective action.
Provide administrative support for various billing projects ensuring accurate and timely delivery as required by the Radiologists.
Approve alternate payment arrangements and recommend write-offs for delinquent accounts.
Maintain established billing periods, and direct the billing and account reconciliations using a variety of intermediate software applications, such as current word-processing and spreadsheet software.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Grade 12, successful completion of a recognized accounting course and two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to keyboard at 45wpm.
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to deal with others effectively.
Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
Ability to organize work.
Ability to operate related equipment.
