Position Overview
As a Clerical Support Volunteer at Mon Sheong Long-Term Care Centre, you will assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, answering phone calls, participating in events, and handling other clerical duties. Your contribution will help ensure smooth daily operations and enhance the overall experience for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
Perform data entry, filing, and inventory management.
Assist with general office tasks and administrative support.
Participate in event coordination as needed.
Qualifications And Requirements
Must be at least 16 years of age.
Some roles may require a higher level of maturity or prefer adult candidates.
Strong communication skills in English, Cantonese, or Mandarin are required.
Successful completion of the Tuberculosis (TB) screening and Vulnerable Sector Screening.
Genuine interest in helping residents with compassion, understanding, and patience.
Demonstrated dependability, initiative, flexibility, and reliability.
Willingness to attend additional training as needed.
Commitment & Locations
Available Monday to Sunday for 3-4 hour shifts or as assigned.
Minimum commitment of 6 months.
Position located at Mon Sheong Scarborough Long-Term Care Centre (2030 McNicoll Avenue, Scarborough, ON).
Volunteer Requirements
Willing to undergo a background or police records check.
Minimum 16 years old.
Willing to complete medical forms.
Fluent in Cantonese or Mandarin.
Willing to undergo a Tuberculosis (TB) test.
