This full time position in the Winnipeg Health Region involves organizing and executing activities that foster engagement and health for seniors. Prior experience working with the elderly is preferred. A Grade 12 diploma is essential, while additional certifications in recreational activities are advantageous for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct recreational programming tailored for elderly residents
• Engage effectively with clients and the healthcare team
• Uphold privacy and maintain client confidentiality
• Work independently while supporting team initiatives
• Navigate physical demands, including potential heavy lifting
Requirements:
• Background in elderly care or volunteer services
• Minimum of Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Proficient in oral and written communication
• Prepared to handle high-pressure situations
• Satisfactory completion of required security checks
