Looking for a reliable, hardworking Mechanic Assistant/Laborer to join the team at this thriving and reputable gravel company that specializes in construction and aggregate supply and hauling.
Duties Include Preventative Maintenance.
Assist in Truck and trailer repairs.
Assist in heavy‑duty equipment service and repair.
Maintaining a safe, clean and organized work area.
Other duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Required Valid driver's license, minimum Class 5.
Mechanic Apprenticeship an asset but not required.
The willingness to learn and work hard is an asset.
Basic problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
Health and Safety Knowledge—OH&S; rules and regulations guidelines.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities Daily maintenance.
Assist the Lead mechanic in various repairs.
Preventative maintenance.
Work with shop management to maintain schedules and priorities.
Follow procedures and guidelines.
Complete all documentation associated with equipment repairs.
Maintain a clean and orderly work setting.
Attend company training and safety programs as required.
