Enhance the lives of those affected by dementia as a Support and Education Coordinator with Alzheimer Society of B.C. in a hybrid setting. This full-time role focuses on expanding community programs and providing direct support.
You will be responsible for program planning, client intakes, and delivering workshops tailored for caregivers and individuals. Collaboration with community partners will be essential to maintaining high service standards. A compassionate approach, combined with relevant experience, is key for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate to deliver effective community programs
• Conduct intakes for new clients
• Offer one-on-one support via phone for clients and caregivers
• Facilitate workshops and support group sessions
• Develop outreach strategies to increase community referrals
Requirements:
• 1-3 years of experience in social services or health
• In-depth understanding of dementia and its challenges
• Proven ability to lead workshops and manage volunteers
• Competence in Microsoft Office 365 applications
• Flexibility for occasional travel and wide-ranging hours
