About the role Safran Landing Systems (Polishing Division) is part of Safran Landing Systems, world leader in landing gear and braking systems for aircraft. The Mirabel plant manufactures major landing gear components for Airbus A320, A330, A350 and Boeing 787. The site features state‑of‑the‑art equipment for machining, polishing and special processes, including heat treatment, shot peening and surface treatments.
The polisher deburrs (rounds) the edges of landing‑gear parts to prevent cracks during heat treatment. The role also involves giving the part its final dimensions by polishing to obtain very accurate radii and diameters. Work is performed using manual pneumatic tools or a robot. The polisher inspects the parts.
