Introduction
Motivated Payments Platform Intern with hands‑on experience in cloud technologies, AI/GenAI applications, and payment system simulations. Skilled in applying DevSecOps, cloud‑native practices, and GenAI‑powered anomaly detection to strengthen financial platforms. Familiar with leading AI platforms such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, and Vertex AI, and eager to contribute to enterprise‑scale payment systems while enhancing expertise in building secure, resilient, and compliant architectures.
Your role and responsibilities
Contribute to the design and prototyping of payment microservices across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
Support secure CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, vulnerability scans, and code quality checks.
Assist in the deployment of containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) for payment APIs.
Build and validate observability dashboards with Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana for transaction insights.
Collaborate with engineering teams to experiment with AI/GenAI models (fraud detection, compliance validation) using OpenAI, Hugging Face, and LangChain frameworks.
Research compliance standards (PCI DSS, GDPR, ISO/IEC) and apply them in sandbox payment environments.
Develop documentation, runbooks, and knowledge artifacts to support ongoing engineering work.
This position is open to applicants who reside in Toronto and is open to applicants seeking an 8‑month internship work term, commencing in Jan 2026. It is mandatory that all applicants are enrolled in full‑time studies at a post‑secondary institution and returning to full‑time studies upon completion of their work term.

Programming & Data: Python, SQL
AI & GenAI Platforms: OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI
Applied AI Skills: Prompt engineering, LLM‑powered anomaly detection, vector database search (FAISS, Pinecone)
Data Pipelines & Dashboards: SQL insights, Power BI, Looker Studio, GenAI‑augmented visualization
Compliance Familiarity: PCI DSS encryption flows, GDPR data retention, ISO/IEC security practices
Monitoring & Observability: Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, SIEM

Must have the ability to work in Canada without sponsorship.
This role will involve working with technology that is covered by Export Regulations sanctions.
