The Position
The Customer Experience Specialist, known as a "Deck Ambassador", works poolside at our swim school. This position plays a critical role in providing an excellent customer experience.
Typical Responsibilities
Setting up and breaking down the pool deck area before and after each shift.
Checking water chemistry and temperature prior to swim lessons.
Welcoming students and parents/guardians to the pool deck area.
Answering customers’ questions about their account, their child’s progress, or about the program.
Assist swim instructors and managers when needed during swim lessons.
Post media content and monitor social media platforms.
Report to Business Owner, assist with other business needs.
Work a schedule that typically includes Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (3:00 – 7:00 pm) and Saturday (9:00 am – 2:00 pm).

About Us
At British Swim School, our mission is “to ensure that every person, regardless of age or ability, has the chance to become a safe and happy swimmer." We are more than just a fun, surface-level swim lesson provider. We are two schools in one – a survival school and a learn-to-swim school.
We invest in quality team members to teach our lessons and strive to make a substantial impact within our communities to combat the tragically high child drowning statistics.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Enthusiastic personality – enjoy interacting with customers (parents and children)
Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Customer service experience: 1 year
Responsible and professional demeanor
Must complete all required British Swim School specific training and testing
Additional Qualifications
Swimming experience: 1–2 years beneficial but not required
Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification(s) beneficial (can be obtained during training)
Compensation: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour
Working at British Swim School is more than a job; it’s a chance to create a lasting impact that could change a child’s life. As part of the British Swim School team, you contribute to the local community and join a fun-loving group committed to water safety and a lifelong love of the water. Most students are preschool and elementary-aged; experience with children or in a child-focused role is helpful but not required if you have the right attitude. The job includes specialized training in our approach.
We also have opportunities with our Customer Service Team for roles that involve talking to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
