The Dryden Regional Health Centre is seeking to fill the following position with a highly motivated, team-oriented qualified:

Casual Stabilization Support Worker
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Stabilization Support Worker assists in the holistic, short-term recovery of mental health clients who are in attendance at the Community-Based Stabilization Unit, by providing a warm, welcoming, therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

Oversight of client's activities of daily living

Food preparation and housekeeping

Paraprofessional verbal engagement of the client on an individual and / or group basis

Providing resources to community supports

Paraprofessional client mental health education

Provide follow-up within the community as appropriate within the scope of this position description

Qualifications

Approved Personal Support Worker Program or equivalent

Current CPR

Experience working with individuals with mental illness or substance use preferred

Ability to work independently

Commitment to work days and weekends, twelve (12) hour shifts

Possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have unlimited access to a vehicle/2 million liability insurance; Must provide clean drivers abstract.

Ability to perform the essential duties of the job

Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination status to be presented prior to hire

This is a unionized position. Salary is as per CBA; starting at $30.54/hr.
