Wages: $37 per hour, 30-44 hours a week

Trillium Recycling is a diversified recycling company located in Ajax Ontario, and specializing in wood pallet recycling services. For many years, Trillium has been supplying the local market with reliable products in a timely manner exceeding their client expectations.

We are currently looking for a Truck Driver to join our team based out of Ajax Ontario. Our Truck Drivers provide short and long haul transportation of products to and from our plant to meet Operational requirements and client demand.

The successful Truck Driver will operate straight trucks and cube vans to transport goods and materials to our recycling plant in Ajax Ontario.





Duties & Responsibilities

Operate and drive primarily cube vans and straight trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes;

Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods;

Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights and turning signals, and brakes;

Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods;

Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes;

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption;

Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on-board computers;

Skills & Qualifications

Must have a valid Truck Driver’s License or a valid D class Ontario Driver’s License;

Any basic vehicle mechanic or repair training is preferred;

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
