About the Role
The AV Identification Administrator is responsible for verifying, researching, identifying, and matching usage data of Film and Television performances for both traditional media and digital platforms using SOCAN’s systems.
You are responsible for ensuring accuracy of matched data and conducting thorough research to identify AV repertoire to maximize royalties and accuracy of payments to our members and foreign affiliates in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify assigned worksheets of matched and unmatched usage data for completeness and accuracy
Identify and link unmatched usage/performances to AV works (cue sheets) in SOCAN’s databases
Review and verify matched usage/performances for accuracy of payment and make necessary corrections of any incorrect matched usage
Liaise with Queries team to resolve complex queries from members and/or foreign societies
Proactively advise Team Lead of potential efficiency and process improvements
Perform other duties as required
Qualifications & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Computer literacy: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, Word
Problem solving and decision making skills
Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to creating a strong team dynamic
Excellent organizational and research skills
Accuracy and detail orientation
Knowledge or experience in the music industry or performing rights is an asset
Fluency in English and French an asset
Analytical and results oriented
Thorough and efficient
Proactive and adaptable with flexibility
