Enhance classroom learning as an Educational Interpreter I at Onslow County Schools. This role is dedicated to students who are hard of hearing, fostering communication and understanding.

Working under the guidance of teachers, you will be responsible for accurately interpreting lessons and offering support tailored to individual student needs. Your role extends to tutoring and fostering positive relationships within the school environment to promote collaboration and engagement among all students.

Key Responsibilities:
• Interpret lessons for students who are deaf/hard of hearing
• Study lesson plans before classes to ensure accuracy
• Tutor students under teacher direction to enhance learning




• Provide constructive feedback to educators upon request
• Encourage positive relationships among students and staff

Requirements:
• Level 3.5 on Educational Interpreter Proficiency Assessment
• RID licensure or equivalent certification
• Minimum high school diploma and completion of training
• Solid communication skills with students and adults
• Ability to assist in emergency situations
