Bring your interpersonal skills and nursing expertise to deliver evidence-based programming and support for mental health patients. Your knowledge of psychiatric disorders and rehabilitation will be key in enhancing patient care. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer nursing care in a forensic setting
- Facilitate group sessions for patients with mental health challenges
- Conduct thorough Mental Status Exams as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for patient support
- Participate in health teaching for individuals and groups Requirements:
- Current Certificate of Registration with College of Nurses of Ontario
- 2-3 years experience in forensic mental health nursing
- BLS and Gentle Persuasive Approach certification
- Demonstrated knowledge of psychotropic medications
