This Independent Contractor role involves working up to 15 hours a week, closely collaborating with the Program Supervisor. You will facilitate one-on-one and group conversations, focusing on Trauma-Informed Care while creating a safe and inclusive environment. The position is crucial for assisting unemployed Albertans in overcoming barriers to workforce participation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver structured one-on-one coaching and peer group support
• Establish strong therapeutic alliances with participants
• Implement Trauma-Informed Care in all interactions
• Document activities accurately and respectfully
• Ensure culturally safe services for diverse groups
Requirements:
• High School Diploma mandatory; peer support training preferred
• Minimum of one year in a relevant role
• Experience in trauma-informed practices beneficial
• Solid active listening and communication skills
• Willingness to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check
