We are currently accepting applications for a term full-time (1.0 FTE) Behaviour Therapist to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year in our Stoney Education program in Eden Valley.

This is a term position for the duration of a contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Work in collaboration with the team (including but not limited to the teacher and therapists) to plan and supporting programing for children with behavioural challenges, developmental disabilities or special needs.

Develop strategies and assist children/students in daily routines, language development, fine and gross motor activities, and daily living skills.





Collaborate with teacher and team with planning and/or modifying the curriculum/daily plan to meet child’s needs and address goals.

Collaborate with team members to develop strategies, programming, and materials

Work, coach, and support team members of child/student.

Travel is required.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree in related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, may be considered.

At least 1 year practice experience

At least 1-year experience working with children in an education environment.

Ability to work with children who may be physically or emotionally demanding

Understanding of and/or work experience with Indigenous Peoples and First Nations communities.

Priority will be given Indigenous applicants or those who have experience working on a nation

A reliable vehicle, auto insurance with a minimum $2,000,000.00 liability and driver’s license is required. (Kilometer expense will be covered for business travel.)

Pre-Requisite Security Clearance Documentation:

Successful candidates must provide us with a valid ‘Calgary Police Check with Vulnerable Sector’ dated within 3 months prior to their start date.

‘Intervention Record Check through Alberta Child Services’ is also required, however, we can support you with completing this during your onboarding.
