Lead Program Facilitator

Role
The Lead Program Facilitator will play a key leadership role in the design and delivery of training and workshops. Responsibilities include workshop/training content development, coordination of program logistics, facilitation of learning experiences for students, educators, youth‑serving professionals, and parents, as well as supporting program evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Most programs are delivered during regular school hours (8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.); however, occasional evening commitments may be required.

This position involves frequent and significant travel to schools and youth‑serving organizations across the Greater Toronto Area, Hamilton, and York Region. Mileage reimbursement is provided in addition to compensation. Candidates must possess a valid G‑Class driver's licence and have reliable access to a personal vehicle.

Hourly Wage: $27‑$30 per hour, commensurate with experience.

Schedule: 24 hours per week, scheduled Monday through Friday predominantly between 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., with flexibility to schedule around program bookings. Occasional evening work for parent programs required. Infrequent weekend programming.

Contract runs Monday September 2nd to Dec 18, 2026 ; January 4th, 2027 – Friday July 2nd, 2027.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of engaging, interactive, and evidence‑informed workshops and training programs for students, youth, educators, youth‑serving professionals, and parents.

Partner with contract facilitators from our facilitator roster to co‑facilitate primarily in‑person workshops and training sessions at schools and youth‑serving organizations across Southern Ontario, with the majority of programs currently delivered in Toronto, Halton Region, and York Region.





Coordinate program scheduling and logistics in collaboration with schools, community organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery.

Lead program evaluation activities, including data collection, analysis, and the identification of insights to support continuous improvement.

Support the design and implementation of interventions that address identified needs related to belonging, mental health, and overall wellbeing.

Champion the onboarding, training, and ongoing support of the program facilitation team to ensure high‑quality program delivery.

Contribute to the preparation of program summaries, impact reports, and evaluation findings for funders, Board reporting, and other stakeholder communications.

Provide administrative and operational support and undertake other program‑related responsibilities as required.

Requirements

You MUST be registered in good standing with a professional regulated College in Ontario or will be registered by August 30, 2026 (OCSWSSW, CRPO, CPBAO). Your application will not be considered otherwise.

Minimum 2 years experience working in Child/Adolescent Mental Health

Demonstrated experience in Workshop Facilitation. Facilitation is a large component of the role and phenomenal confidence and skills in this area is a must.

Strong understanding of child/ adolescent psycho‑social development

Strong understanding of anti‑racism,



anti‑oppression and DEI practices

Experience translating research/ academic literature into practice

Experience in developing interactive, engaging workshops/training

Physical ability to set up/ take down in‑school programming (moving around tables and chairs).

Passion for working with children, adolescents and their adult allies from a strengths‑based, anti‑oppressive approach

Vulnerable sector check completed in Ontario in the last 6 months (or willingness to get one)

Regular access to a reliable computer with high speed internet access

G class driver’s licence, regular access to a vehicle and a willingness to travel regularly to schools across southern Ontario (competitive mileage provided in addition to compensation)

Highly organized and detail oriented; Ability to stay on top of various clients, tasks and needs across multiple projects

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Enthusiastic team player

Robust relational skills

Ability to work independently, take initiative and see the next step

Intensely reliable

Ease with technology (e.g. Powerpoint, Google Workspace, etc.)

Assets

Knowledge/understanding of school systems

ASIST/Suicide intervention training

Experience with project management tools such as Asana and/or software integrations

Experience with program evaluation

Other Information
Successful candidates will be based remotely when not delivering programming at schools across southern Ontario (mileage provided in addition to compensation). Virtual programs will also be delivered from a remote location.
