Your Role as Senior Baker
As a Senior Baker at COBS Bread, you will take a lead role in ensuring the production of high-quality artisan breads and baked goods. You will mentor and support junior bakers, manage daily baking operations, and uphold the company's standards for freshness and customer satisfaction. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced baker passionate about quality and teamwork.
What Your Day Looks Like
Lead and support the baking team to produce a variety of breads and pastries according to COBS recipes and standards
Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring timely and efficient baking processes
Assist in managing inventory and ordering of baking ingredients
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety within the bakery
Train and mentor junior baking staff to develop their skills and knowledge
Collaborate with management to improve baking processes and product quality
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years baking experience in a commercial or artisan bakery setting
Proven leadership or senior role experience in a baking environment
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and quality standards
Ability to manage time effectively and work under pressure
Good communication and mentoring skills
Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and workplace safety standards
Physical Requirements
Continuous standing and walking throughout shifts
Frequent lifting and carrying of baking ingredients and products up to 22 kg
Bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling as required in bakery operations
Constant use of hands with frequent wrist rotation and flexing
