Job Title: Volunteer for Walk to the Lighthouse for Mental Health and Addiction
Location: Joseph Brant Hospital and various events in the community

About us
We are currently preparing for our 6th annual walk on Sunday September 27th 2026. The Walk to the Lighthouse was created to raise awareness about mental health and addictions and the need for improved access to mental health and addiction services at Joseph Brant Hospital. Last year, over 500 people walked from Joseph Brant Hospital to the Lighthouse and back! We raised over $100 000. We are walking to raise awareness, decrease stigma and to come together as a community for an significant cause. Joseph Brant Hospital mental health services as well as other community mental health services come together on the day of the walk.
What you will do
Assist setting up and running the event on the day of the Walk
Visiting local businesses to promote the walk and ask them to participate and put up a flyer to advertise our walk
Promote the walk at community events by giving out save the date cards and selling Wak to the Lighthouse merchandise
