Job Description We are seeking ideal candidates who have experience in powder coating and have a strong understanding of coating techniques and equipment.
Job Duties Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate materials and equipment.
Assembly for powder coating process, operating spray gun, loading metal pieces onto paint-line hooks, unloading metal pieces after painting, and general shop cleaning.
Perform chemical balancing to ensure proper mixtures for powder coating.
Conduct routine maintenance on powder coating equipment and tools.
Complete verification paperwork accurately and in a timely manner
Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures and adhere to all company policies.
Requirements High School diploma or equivalent.
Some experience as a powder coat painter.
Proficiency in powder coating techniques and equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting and coating operations.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Previous experience in a related field is a plus.
Physically fit: frequently lift up to 50 lbs., must be able to bend, squat, crawl and climb.
Physical / Mental / Environmental Physical Demands Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, and climb.
Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.
Mental Demands Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Shop/warehouse. Not climate controlled. Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust, and fumes.
