The Sointula Co-op,establishedin 1909, is the oldest Co-operative in Western Canada, generating approximately $4 million in annual sales. Weoperatethree locations: a full-service grocery store with meat, deli, and liquor departments; a gas bar and convenience store with bulk fuel sales; and a hardware store.

Whatyou’lldo:

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the GM willbe responsible forthe day-to-day performance and oversight of the organization, including the supervision and training of team members. Using effective interpersonal communication and a strategic mindset,



the successful candidate willdemonstratebusiness insight and excellent analytical skills that align with and strengthen Sointula Co-op’s direction,goalsand operational plans. The GM will work with the Board to develop the strategic plan, andestablishthe strategy, goals, andobjectivesfor the organization in alignment with its mission, vision, and values. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide operational direction in the development and implementation of programs and policies to generate sustainable value and profitability for the organization.
