About Position At this time, we are looking for a skilled Roofer Helper to join our team. The successful candidate will perform the following duties:
Load and unload materials and move them to work areas
Mix, pour and spread tar and other materials
Recharge/feed equipment used in the installation
Assist roofers in installing, repairing, or replacing a variety of roofing systems
Assist roofers in preparing surfaces of roofs for installing new roofs, vents and other ventilation systems
Set up scaffolding and harnesses to provide safe access to roofs
Remove rubble and other debris at sites
Perform other duties as may be assigned
Job Requirements 6 months of experience as a roofer helper
Secondary school diploma
Must be able to work outdoors and in changing weather conditions
Team player, client focused and flexible
Work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle heavy loads as work is physically demanding
Positive English skills
Employment Conditions Permanent, full-time position
$30.00 per hour
30-40 hours of work per week
Overtime pay ($45.00 per hour) applies after 44 hours of work per week
