Summary
A Commissary Attendant is responsible for the final assembly of trolleys in the commissary department. Each group of trolleys is assembled according to the type and size of the flight for which they are being used.

Responsibilities

Replacing bar and pop carts and catering carts as they come back from the airplane.

Checking flight bill – the worker reviews the flight bills to determine what items are required for each flight.

Commissary trolleys that have been rebuilt are brought over to the assembly area by the commissary attendant.





The assembler stages the trolleys according to flight number. Headsets, hampers and satchels are added, as requested, to the trolleys to complete the flight.

Requirements

Obtain and maintain a Transport Canada Security Clearance

Work an assigned schedule which may include days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays

Manage your time and prioritize tasks in a fast paced, time sensitive environment

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Work in a detailed and methodical manner while adhering to tight timelines dictated by the airline industry

Work overtime when required

Pass a criminal background check

Follow directions and communicate with supervisors and co-workers

Work as a member of a team within their department and work closely with various other departments

Environment

Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds

Depending on what position you are selected for, you may be required to work a significant number of hours per day in a temperature reduced environment
