Year Round Operator, Highway Maintenance (Class 1/3)
We are offering year‑round employment opportunities in highway maintenance across Alberta. This role requires a Class 1, 2, or 3 driver’s licence and involves maintaining provincial highways, operating heavy equipment, and performing seasonal maintenance tasks.

Essential Responsibilities

Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as needed.

Maintain Alberta Provincial Highways year‑round, including assisting with Laborer duties such as crack sealing, pothole repair, bridge and signage cleaning, and hazard remediation.

Work outside in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

Successful completion of pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing.

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

Valid Class 1, 2, or 3 driver’s licence with air endorsement.

Clear 3‑year driver’s abstract.

Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a solid asset.

Work Conditions

Shift work, on‑call, and night shift may be required based on weather patterns.





Benefits and Registered Savings Plans (RSPs) are provided by the company.

Rates & Premiums

Base hourly rate ranges from $26.50 to $31.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Premiums of $8 per hour for winter maintenance operations.

Premiums of $14 per hour for winter operations as a Class 1 operator while operating the tow plow unit.
