Job Title: Regular Part time Support Worker

Location: Web 1

Wage Rate: $23.08 - $24.46 per hour (includes negotiated rate and permanent compensation enhancement)

# Positions: Four (4)

Schedule: Varied Schedule – guaranteed between 48 and 70 hours per pay period. Employees receive their schedule at least six weeks in advance.

Pathways to Independence requires four Regular Part-Time Support Workers who will serve as members of the residential support team to enhance social, leisure, and daily living activities for adults.

Responsibilities

Support adults with dual diagnosis, mental health, behavioral challenges, and those involved in forensic services in accordance with the person’s life plan.

Assist with activities such as homemaking, personal care, community engagement, and personal development skills in line with the person’s Quality of Life Plan.

Implement established strategies and behavior management plans under general direction of the Manager and Counsellor.

Promote the client’s rights, choices, self‑determination, independence, and community living skills.

Manage and maintain accurate client information and documentation.

Participate in a positive team environment and resolve conflicts professionally.





Advocate on behalf of the client and maintain regular attendance.

Work independently or within a team, including shifts that are typically 12 hours long and may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work with clients who have aggressive behavior may be required.

Qualifications

Secondary school graduation and a minimum one-year post‑secondary certificate in Human or Health Services (proof of education required).

Continuing education in dual diagnosis, behavior management, or mental health is an asset.

Current First Aid and CPR certification.

Computer literacy and proficiency in electronic mail and other computer‑based tools.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team, resolve conflicts, and solve problems in a professional manner.

Experience working with adults with a dual diagnosis, mental health, or other cognitive impairment in residential, community, or independent living environments.
