Position: First Cook
Salary:
$27.98/hour
Salary will increase according to the current collective agreement after the 300-hour probation period.

The schedule is 70 hours per week. After 55 hours, overtime is paid at time-and-a-half.

Job Responsibilities

Cook and prepare various foods following production guidelines and standardized recipes.

Prepare the daily menu.

Manage kitchen operations (staff, inventory, orders as needed).

Be able to meet operational needs.

Set up the workstation with all required ingredients and equipment. Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, cutting, and peeling food.

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude toward guests, consumers, clients, and colleagues.

Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction.

Clean the work area.

Qualifications

Preferably a vocational diploma (DEP) in cooking or equivalent experience.

3 to 4 years of experience in food service or the restaurant industry.

Strong cooking fundamentals are an asset.

Experience in remote camp environments is an asset.

MAPAQ certification.

Ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation programs.

Follow established safety regulations.

Requirements
