Treetops Montessori Preschool, located in beautiful West Vancouver, is currently in search of a fun, caring, positive, creative, passionate and qualified Montessori trained teacher to act as Manager and Co-Guide and join our small team of 4 for the 2024 school year. Start date is September 2024, but if you are looking for immediate work, we could start as early as the end of June.
The school is open 12 months a year. September to June is when we run the regular Montessori program and in the summer months we run a summer school program. The position is full time from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday to Friday and you have the option to work 10 or 12 months a year.
Individual salary is very competitive, negotiable and dependent upon education and experience. The hourly wage will be a minimum $28 plus a $6 wage enhancement per hour, as we qualify for the ECE subsidy.
We offer 4 weeks of paid vacation over winter and spring break plus 6 sick/personal days.
The school offers a primarily Montessori program that incorporates some play‑based activities for children 2.5–5 years old. The classroom is recently renovated and bright. The role offers the successful candidate a lot of autonomy in the classroom,
with extra activities such as music, yoga, circle time, crafts, dance, karate and outdoor adventures.

Qualifications
Montessori Diploma – AMI or MACTE certification and ECE Diploma with experience in a Montessori classroom
First Aid and CPR
Criminal Record Check
Immunization Record
Must already live in Vancouver and able to commute to the school
Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
