Junior Electrical Drafter (Mining)
St. Johns, NL, Brampton, Sudbury, or North Bay, ON

Job Description
In this role, you will be part of a collaborative mining or industrial team, contributing to projects that involve power, automation, and instrumentation systems while working alongside engineers and technical specialists.

Responsibilities

Prepare electrical drawings, including single‑line diagrams, layouts, and load lists

Support engineers in developing and updating design deliverables

Revise drawings based on markups and maintain drawing accuracy

Ensure compliance with standards and coordinate with other disciplines

Assist with documentation and project deliverables

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline

Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar drafting/design software

Basic understanding of electrical systems such as power distribution, instrumentation, and control systems





Solid attention to detail and quality control in drawing production

Ability to interpret engineering sketches, redlines, and specifications

Effective communication skills and ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary team

Knowledge of industry standards and codes is an asset

Compensation
The salary range for this role is between $45K - $50K. The actual compensation package is based on factors such as skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
