Clerical Support Associate – Paediatric Outpatient Clinic
Employment Status: Temporary Part-time.

Duration: Until December 2026.

Hours of Work: Monday – Sunday, Days/Evenings.

Location: Humber River Health, Willson Site.

Reporting Relationship: Manager, Paediatrics & NICU.

Hourly Rate: $29.966 – $31.016.

Position Responsibilities

Provides excellent reception/customer service, patient processing and maintenance of patient records, including registration of patients for outpatient services and booking/editing of patient appointments.

Maintains and supports all clerical and communication functions in the outpatient services.

Logs, maintains and collects statistics.

Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

High school graduate or equivalent.

Completed secretarial and medical terminology courses preferred.

Knowledge of medical terminology required.

Minimum of one‑year full‑time recent clerical experience, preferably in an outpatient health‑care setting.

Computer skills required; keyboarding 40 wpm required.





Experience with Meditech computer system required.

Community‑wide scheduling experience required.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Excellent customer‑service skills required.

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize a varied and busy workload and work with tight deadlines, frequent interruptions, and emergency situations.

Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team environment.

Excellent attendance and a discipline‑free record required.

Understanding of equity, diversity, and inclusion principles as they relate to health practices is an asset.
