Job Description: As a member of the interdisciplinary team and under the general direction of the Manager or Addiction Counsellor Degree Senior, is responsible for the day-to-day client services delivery (development, implementation, deliver and assists with evaluation) of Addiction Services. Performs clinical management, community education, and community development.

Bachelor Degree in Chemical Dependency or another Degree accepted by employer

Knowledge in addictions specific twelve core functions

Knowledge of Sask Model of Recovery Services and motivational assessment process

Strong knowledge of policies and procedures established by Addiction Services

Knowledge in Developmental Model of Recovery

Strong interpersonal skills

Demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects on the individual.

Ability to provide individual, group and crisis management counselling skills

Robust organizational skills with ability to prioritize urgent client needs

Promote healthy lifestyles in urban & rural settings with diverse populations

Ability to accurately assess addictions and/or addiction related issues.

Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate referrals
