Title: Snow Groomer
Department: Mountain Operations
Reports to: Slopes and Roads Manager

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Snow Groomer is responsible for operating the grooming machine safely and efficiently to produce the highest quality skiing, snowboarding, and sliding surface possible for Mt Seymour guests, and to create and maintain the Mt Seymour Terrain Parks.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will ensure the protected and efficient use of machinery including snow cats and implements to produce the final groomed product

You will keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment, reporting and rectifying any unsafe acts

Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of snowcats and other related work areas

You will identify maintenance requirements on the snowcats and communicate with the Vehicle Maintenance Department & Heavy Duty Mechanics for repairs, additionally keep accurate records regarding the operation and maintenance of the snowcat

You will identify the maintenance concerns of ski/snowboard runs

Other related duties as required





WHAT WE REQUIRE FROM YOU:

A valid B.C. Driver’s License

Previous snow grooming and terrain park grooming experience preferred

Experience driving Prinoth Bison X Snowcat or similar is an asset

Mechanically inclined

Ability to follow directions and work unsupervised

Safety oriented

Willing and able to work in all weather conditions

Ability to be a supportive team member

Able to work varying shifts, including graveyards

Must be a skier and/or snowboarder

Own vehicle required to travel to and from work

Reliable, careful, and mature

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Seasonal position, November thru to mid-April

$25-$30/hour dependent on experience and qualifications

Complimentary season pass and shuttle bus pass
